Danielle Pinney is a postgraduate in the Creative Writing MSt at the University of Cambridge. Between September and December 2025, she was the designated Artist-in-Residence at Bryn Du Mansion in Granville, Ohio. In residency, Danielle conducted research at the intersection of contemporary dance and writing to consider how place informs movement. Her research culminated in a short poetry collection and a screendance short, which she produced in collaboration with Emmy-winning director Emmai Alaquiva.

Danielle has been named an Edward Villella Fellow (2019) and a Thomas J. Watson Fellow (2022-23). She has also performed in Jason Derulo’s “Glad U Came” music video, in Rai Linea Verde’s TV special on Pizzica Dance, and in Maia Reficco’s “sur” music video, now out.

Danielle is currently based between New York and Cambridge, UK.
